Making news HCM City pilots home quarantine of F1 cases 09/07/2021 The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee on July 8 issued a document guiding pilot quarantine of F1 cases at home amid the rapid and complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the southern hub. F1 cases comprise those who have had close contact with COVID-19 patients and wore medical masks, have rapid negative results to coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 while waiting for PCR tests, or have already finished two-week quarantine at concentrated facilities and tested negative to the virus on the 14th day of quarantine. The municipal People’s Committee asked localities to follow the Health Ministry’s guidelines in terms of infrastructure and equipment for medically-monitored people, persons living in the same houses and health workers. Samples for testing must be collected at least five times on the first, seventh, 14th, 20th and 28th days since quarantine, or at least twice on the 20th and 28th days for those who have finished two-week quarantine. The municipal Department of Information and Communications was asked to partner with the Health Department to adopt technological advances to better manage home quarantine.
