Duc Viet Trademark Sausages

In the domestic market, Duc Viet is known as a powerful trademark with fresh sausage products, such as beer garden sausages and bratwurst. Having been in the market for 12 years these products have become one of the most popular foods in Vietnam.
Duc Viet Company is the first enterprise trading and manufacturing the German-style sausages from materials in Vietnam. Over the years, the company’s products have been an acceptable food to the Vietnamese and have gradually affirmed a position in the market.

In 2000, with the assistance of German experts, the company produced the first batches of sausages according to German recipes in a small workshop in Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi. These products were introduced at a party organized by the Germany Embassy in Vietnam and quickly drew plaudits from both Vietnamese and Germans who were working and living in Hanoi. It served as an impetus for the company to overcome all difficulties and continue pursuing its target.

During the first days of operation, the company had a small workshop with a low-capacity production line and 12 employees so that it only manufactured Bratwurst sausages, a famous traditional sausage in Thuringia, Germany. In 2002, the company expanded production and manufactured other kinds of sausages, such as bockwursts, beer garden sausage, wieners, hams, pastries and pork, which were much sought after by customers. In 2004, the company inaugurated its safe fresh meat processing factory at Pho Noi B Industrial Zone in Tan Lap Commune, Yen My District, Hung Yen Province. In 2008, the company changed to Duc Viet Food Joint-Stock Company with a total number of more than 300 employees. At that time, the company manufactured about 60 categories of products.

Talking about the company’s target, Nguyen Vi Tung, Production Director of the company said: “The company wants to create dissimilarity for fresh sausage products, introduce the distinctive taste of German foods to the Vietnamese and make the products become popular in Vietnam”.

Following the motto “Being clean from the farm to the dining table”, the company always pays much attention to quality, safety and hygiene so all stages in production, such as selecting materials, packing and transporting products must meet the strict requirements and standards of Germany.
To produce high-quality sausages with the distinctive taste of Thuringia, the company has invested in modern workshops and production lines and applied the German traditional sausage producing technology. To qualify as a Thuringer Bratwurst, a sausage must consist of finely ground, spiced pork and be at least 15 centimeters long in a narrow natural casing, with at least 51 percent of ingredients originating in Thuringia.

The company has expanded its delivery network nationwide, not only focusing in large cities and urban centres but also in remote areas to occupy the who le market and gradually replace the imported products from Germany. With great achievements, the company will continue bringing into full play its strength to develop into a powerful group specializing in processing and trading safe and clean foods.
