After a three-year wait, DIFF audiences once again witnessed spectacular fireworks displays in the sky and along the Han river, as fireworks teams from the United Kingdom, Poland, Canada, France, Finland, Australia, Italy, and the host country Vietnam showcased their skills. DIFF 2023 brought together representatives from nations with long-standing traditions in the art of fireworks performances, offering residents and visitors a unique, professional, and highclass "feast" of lights.

With the theme "A World Without Distances," DIFF 2023 affirms the strong efforts to revitalize tourism in Da Nang. Ngo Thi Kim Yen, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee and Head of the DIFF 2023 Organizing Committee, stated that this fireworks festival is expected to be a "boost" to help Da Nang's tourism return to its pre-COVID-19 era. Alongside the support of businesses, the city of Da Nang organized 28 accompanying events over the course of more than a month during the fireworks festival and welcomed over 1.5 million visitors.
