Our lives would be meaningless if people ran out of creativity and feelings cannot be expressed without passion. “Passion” is the title of Dep Fashion Show 10 that was recently held in Ho Chi Minh City.

 Dep Fashion Show 10 is the largest fashion event of the year with the participation of 10 designers with their most beautiful collections and 100 models. Director Viet Tu, DJ Tri Minh, choreographer Tan Loc, super model Xuan Lan participated in organizing the event.

On October 15, 2011, Dep Fashion Show 10 starts with an impressive gala at Nguyen Du Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City.

Thousands of people wait for Dep Fashion Show 10.

According to general director Viet Tu, Dep Fashion Show 10 honored a generation of designers who have devoted themselves to fashion and creativity. The fashion story at the “Passion” gala showed the idiosyncrasy of each designer. Focusing on many themes, Dep Fashion Show 10 also fascinated the audience thanks to its beautiful and creative designs and a modern stage arrangement. For this reason, the Dep Fashion Shows are well-known as not only a domestic fashion playground but also a great fashion event in Asia.
To express the “Passion” theme of Dep Fashion Show 10, director Viet Tu was inspired by a Russian film called “Faust”. The film was transformed from the story of the great poet Goethe which has just won the Gold Lion Award. It tells about a scientist who is willing to sell his soul to the devil in exchange for satisfying his desire for learning and dreaming. In reality, many people must pay the penalty for their passion.
Dep Fashion Show 10 started with an impressive performance of guitar soloist Truong Sa. Then the collections were presented together with melodies performed by DJ Tri Minh and the impressive video art of Le Quoc Hung.

According to production director Le Nhu Thoa, the criteria of Dep Fashion Show 10 were concept, theme and clear messages. Each show was presented with different styles with the combination of many art genres. All aimed at glorifying fashion. Each collection showed a style and an idea but kept the harmony in the common “Passion” theme. Designers were outstanding with their individual styles but didn’t overshadow the whole program.

Established in 2001, DFS, organized by Dep Magazine, a supplement of Vietnam Pictorial, Le Media and Le & Brothers Limited, is a series of fashion shows for those who have a great passion for beauty and an ambition to build a Vietnamese fashion industry with their creativeness.
