Cau Dat Tea Hill: A Destination of Scenic Green Landscapes and Rich Tea Culture

Cau Dat Tea Hill stretches across the misty highlands of Da Lat, offering a landscape of endless green tea fields that roll gently over the hills. Located in Xuan Truong Ward, the tea hill is among the oldest tea-growing areas in Lam Dong Province and has long been associated with the agricultural heritage of the region.

Established during the early 20th century, Cau Dat has developed into one of the most recognized tea-producing areas in Vietnam. The plantation covers more than 230 hectares at an altitude of about 1,650 meters above sea level. Its high elevation gives the area cool temperatures throughout the year, along with frequent morning mist that creates a dreamy atmosphere. These natural conditions are ideal for cultivating high-quality tea, contributing to the distinctive flavor that has made Cau Dat tea well known both domestically and internationally.

Beyond its agricultural importance, Cau Dat Tea Hill has become a favorite destination for travelers seeking tranquility and scenic beauty. Rows of tea bushes arranged in neat patterns across the slopes create a striking panorama, especially at sunrise, when the first rays of light break through the clouds and illuminate the green fields. Visitors often come to walk among the tea gardens, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and capture photographs of the picturesque landscape.

The destination also offers a deeper look into the tea-making tradition of the Central Highlands. Tourists can learn about the process of growing, harvesting, and processing tea leaves, while tasting fresh tea produced on site. Nearby cafes and restored colonial-era facilities add to the experience, blending history with modern tourism.
