Since its opening, the shooting site of Kong Island in Trang An received thousands of tourists yearly. Kong: Skull Island, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, was the biggest Hollywood movie to be filmed in Vietnam. The blockbuster was filmed in Quang Binh, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh provinces.
