Hanoi, February 15 (VNA) – The 13 th National Assembly Standing Committee will convene its 45 th session in Hanoi on February 17.
The week-long session will give opinions on draft working reports from the Government, Prime Minister, President, Prosecutor General of the People’s Supreme Procuracy, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court and Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam for the 2011-2016 tenure, as well as those from the NA’s and NA Standing Committee’s 13 th tenure.
The NA Standing Committee will considera proposal to amend the Programme on Law Building and Ordinance Buiding 2016, and draft reports on acquiring feedback on the revised Law on Journalism; Law on Child Protection, Care and Education; and Pharmacy Law.
The committee is also due to discuss preparations for the 13 th National Assembly’s 11 th session; a draft resolution on the structure, organisation, function and tasks of the NA Public Petitions Committee; the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court’s report on proposed increase in quota for senior prosecutor positions; and other key issues.
