Int’l kite festival colours Vung Tau skies

Ba Ria – Vung Tau, April 24 (VNA) – The sixth International Kite Festival lit the skies ablaze with colours as it returned to Vung Tau city, the southern coastal province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on April 24.

The festival, themed “Flying with Vietnam”, attracted 97 kite fliers from 21 countries and territories including Germany, UK, the US, the Philippines, France, India, China, Thailand and Malaysia; 44 of the fliers are from three regions across Vietnam.

Visitors enjoyed spectacular kite performances in a number of locations, including Paradise golf club, Vung Tau tourism market, Vung Tau Intourco and Bien Dong resorts, and Grand Ho Tram Strip.

The festival is one of the outstanding cultural, sport and tourism events in the province this year, said Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Van Loi.

Bordered by the sea on three sides, Vung Tau city is well-known for its stunning beaches, breathtaking mountains, hot springs, pagodas and other cultural relics.
