Hanoi spurs regional growth with Nhat Tan-Noi Bai route

Hanoi, June 24 (VNA) – The Hanoi municipal People’s Committee has announced a detailed master plan for the Nhat Tan-Noi Bai route, also known as Vo Nguyen Giap road, targeting to create development momentums for localities in the northern part of the Red River and adjacent areas.

Accordingly, the 11.1 km route will run from Noi Bai International Airport to Nhat Tan Bridge and span an area of 1,810 hectares of 13 communes in Dong Anh and Soc Son districts.

The route will require an estimated 33 trillion VND (roughly 1.55 billion USD) for infrastructure construction and land clearance which is expected to be completed by 2025.

A trade complex accommodating financial, commercial and banking centres, hostels, luxury hospitals, cultural establishments and residential areas, with a 108-storey tower to be the highlight, is expected to be developed.

A range of public services will be offered in the background of natural landscapes created by the Hong, Thiep and Ca Lo Rivers.

Addressing the announcing ceremony on June 23, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said, the project, approved by the Prime Minister, is significant to Hanoi as it helps the city boost trade links with its adjacent localities and the world at large through Noi Bai International Airport.
