Duc Thanh Wood Processing Joint-Stock Company was established in May 1991 with its first products of kitchen tools, including chopping boards which were much sought after by local housewives. Later, the company made more kinds of products including children’s wood toys which were branded Winwintoys. They were safe and high-quality items which helped Duc Thanh company become more famous in the country. From these two major lines of products, namely kitchen tools and children’s toys, the company has set forth a “green” and “clean” business strategy aimed at protecting the customers’ health and the environment.

Currently the company has two factories which are located in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province. To implement its strategy, the company focused on using domestic materials, including old, trimmed rubber tree trunks. Rubber tree wood is durable and has a light color which is suitable for making household furniture, kitchen tools and children’s toys of highly artistic value.
 

Over the past years of development, Duc Thanh wood-based products have become more diversified, each being made with attractive designs and proper sizes upon specific demands. They are processed through careful steps, from the selection of materials to timber processing and products’ designing and finishing – all have ensured technical standard norms and beautiful designs.

Since the campaign “Vietnamese use made-in-Vietnam products” was launched in Vietnam, a rising number of Vietnamese customers have become more aware of locally-made products, including those by Duc Thanh Company.

Duc Thanh children’s toys, Winwintoys, are always the prime choice of many people thanks to their safe and educational values. The toys have met both European (CE) and Vietnamese (CR) certified standards.

The company has kept regular contact with foreign partners, including those from Hong Kong, Germany and Japan, by participating in international fairs and exhibitions to update their advanced technologies and customers’ requirements.

“Duc Thanh uses raw materials including wood, polishing oil and paint, and all its products’ sizes and designs have met international and Vietnamese standards. They are manufactured under strict technical policies, i.e. safe for users’ health,” said Le Hong Thang, General Director of Duc Thanh Wood Processing Joint-Stock Company.

Besides ensuring the products’ quality and materials’ origin, the company has printed on the labels full information about the products, which helps the users easily differentiate them from other similar products, and at the same time confirm the company’s prestige in the market and its responsibility to customers.

Currently, the company has a network of more than 1,000 agents to sell and distribute its products which are located in big trade centers and supermarkets across the country, such as Parkson, Co.opmart, Big C, Metro and Lotte. Movie teams from Sweden and Japan’s television networks came to visit the company and made films to present it as one among Vietnam’s excellent wood-based furniture makers. At present, about 80 percent of Duc Thanh products have been exported abroad, including the demanding markets of France, the UK, Germany, the United States and Japan.
