Hanoi, September 9 (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on September 9 met with a delegation from the Southeast Asia Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (SARBICA) led by its President Mustari Irawan.
The Deputy PM welcomed the delegation to Vietnam to attend a seminar on authenticity of electronic records to be held in Hanoi on September 10.
Emphasising the importance of archives agencies in each country, Deputy PM Dam expressed hope that international archives organisations will share experience with Vietnam , thus helping the country’s efforts to build an electronic government.
He affirmed that Vietnam will continue supporting SARBICA’s operations.
Mustari Irawan said SARBICA members are keen on beefing up bilateral and multilateral partnership in the future.
State archives of member countries should foster their cooperation in the organisation of scientific activities to tackle professional questions, especially in electronic records management, he said.
