Vietnam has had a rich and diverse ecosystem of mangrove forests, which were mostly destroyed in the past. In recent years, thanks to a national strategy these mangrove forests have been restored, bringing high economic benefits and serving as a firm "green wall" against the destruction of nature, particularly the rising sea level.
