Vietnam, Slovakia share judicial experience

Prague, July 8 (VNA)- A high-ranking delegation from the Supreme People’s Court led by Secretary of the Central Party and Chief Justice Truong Hoa Binh visited Slovakia to learn about the Eastern European country’s judicial activities.

The highlight of the delegation’s four-day visit, which commenced on July 5, was the talks with senior officials of the Slovak Supreme Court led by Vice Supreme Judge Jarmila Urbancova, who has been to Vietnam twice and had a good impression of the country.

At the meeting, the Slovak Vice Judge underscored that the Vietnamese Chief Justice’s visit to Slovakia was significant for their judicial cooperation as well as bilateral relations.

She added that the visit also affirmed Vietnam’s determination to reform its judiciary sector and renew law supervision and implementation.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese delegation worked with Slovak Minister of Justice Tomas Borec and Vice Chairman of the Slovak Judicial Council Jan Vanko on the justice reform process in the European country as well as the operations of the Justice Ministry and Judicial Council and their roles in the reform process.

In addition, the delegation met and shared experience with the Slovak Bar Association and visited the Slovak Judicial Academy.
