Vietnam promotes tourism in German travel trade fair

Berlin, March 11 (VNA) – The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has promoted Vietnam and its “endless beauty” at ITB Berlin, a large tourism trade fair in Berlin, Germany.

The promotion event on March 10 attracted travel agencies from countries worldwide who were looking for partnership with Vietnam.

VNAT head Nguyen Van Tuan briefed attendees on the country’s policies for tourism development, and tourism products offered to overseas visitors.

He also made clear Vietnam’s visa exemption policy, especially those for European tourists.

On the occasion, representatives of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines introduced new services to participants, especially the carrier’s use of new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on flights between Vietnam and Germany since October last year.

The carrier also said it plans to launch direct flights to Berlin once the new airport in the city is completed.

The five-day ITB Berlin is underway from March 9. In 2015, a total of 10,096 companies and organisations from 186 countries exhibited their products and services.
