Hanoi, July 2 (VNA)- The court sectors of Vietnam and Cuba shared their experience in judicial reform, law making and training during talks between Chief Judge of the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh and his Cuban counterpart Ruben Remigio Ferro in Hanoi on July 2.

During the talks, Chief Judge Binh said he believes the delegation’s working visit will contribute to reinforcing and promoting cooperation between the two countries.

He briefed the Cuban guest on Vietnam’s judicial reform process, including in the courts, saying the country reaped remarkable achievements and brought crucial changes of jurisdiction and organisation structure to its court system.

For his part, Ruben Remigio Ferro, who is on a working visit to Vietnam from June 30-July 5, affirmed that the Cuban Party and people, and his agency in particular, treasure and wish to foster the traditional friendship and all-around cooperation with Vietnam, especially in judicial affairs.

While sharing his country’s experience in reforming the judiciary, he said Cuba hopes to receive assistance from the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court and learn from its experience.

The two officials agreed on orientations for their future cooperation, expressing the desire that connection between the courts of the two nations will be further tightened.

On the occasion, Binh presented the insignia “For the Cause of the Court of Vietnam” to Ruben Remigio Ferro and Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio Lopez Diaz in recognition of their important contributions to the development of the Vietnamese courts.
