Vietnam, Andorra promote relations

Paris, May 22 (VNA) – Vietnam wants to step up cooperation with the principality of Andorra, Ambassador to France, and Andorra, Portugal, Monaco and the Central African Republic Nguyen Ngoc Son has said.

He presented his credentials to Co-Prince, Archbishop Joan-Enric Vivesi Sicilia in the capital city of Andorra la Vella on May 21.

The Ambassador briefed the host of Vietnam’s socio-economic progress in recent years and bilateral relations between the two sides.

He thanked the Andorran Government for supporting Vietnam at multilateral forums of the United Nations and the International Organisation of La Francophonie.

The Co-Prince passed his greetings to Vietnamese high-ranking leaders and praised Vietnam’s socio-economic, political achievements in the past 40 years since its reunification. He showed his interest in the Vietnamese Christian community.

He said he welcomes the promotion of Andorra-Vietnam ties.

On the occasion, the Ambassador paid a courtesy call to Minister of Foreign Affairs Gilbert Saboya Sunyé.
