Vice President supports stronger trade union ties with Belarus

Hanoi, November 24 (VNA) - Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan has expressed her hope that trade unions of Vietnam and Belarus would effectively realise signed agreements, facilitate experience sharing and ties among their member organisations, contributing to bilateral cooperation.

The Vice President made the remark at a reception in Hanoi on November 24 for Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTUB) Mikhail Orda.

She spoke highly of the outcomes of recent talks between FTUB and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, adding that since establishing ties in 1992, they have worked actively together across diverse areas and at international forums.

Orda said he is impressed by Vietnam’s socio-economic progresses during the visit, his first to the country.

He stressed the need for young generations to foster bilateral friendship and cooperation, adding that his visit is meant to discuss specific cooperation plans, including sending Belarusian experts to work at the Vietnam Trade Union University.
