Hanoi, July 3 (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will make an official visit to the United States of America from July 6-10, the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations announced on July 3.
The visit is made at the invitation of the US administration.
Vietnam and the US mark the 20th anniversary of the normalisation of diplomatic ties this year.
Two-way trade between the two countries reached 35 billion USD in 2014, up from about 500 million USD in 1995.
