Addressing the event, Minister of National Defence General Ngo Xuan Lich highlighted the achievements in implementing the law over the past decade, saying that it has helped raise the awareness among sectors, ministrations at all levels and people about their responsibility to build and protect the nation.

He noted that administrations at all levels and sectors have mobilised resources for economic development; ensuring social security; strengthening national defence and security potentials; and taking the initiative in the fight against enemies and social evils.

Ministries, sectors and localities have closely worked with the ministry to improve their role in managing national defence-related activities.

The minister called for a stronger cooperation among all ministries, sectors and localities to implement effectively socio-economic development and national defence-security activities across the nation, particularly in key areas.

They should also focus on building and managing protection facilities and works, as well as give attention to establishing local civil defence forces, particularly in border and key localities.
Minister Lich urged military agencies at all levels to provide consultations for localities in implementing their defence tasks, while enhancing their own operations, thus promoting the national great solidarity.
