“My Sparkling City”

Artist Ngo Thi Thu Ba recently held a private photography exhibition and made the debut of a photography book entitled “My Sparkling City” in celebration of the 40thanniversary of South Vietnam’s Liberation and National Reunification in Ho Chi Minh City. 
Born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Thu Ba has witnessed drastic changes of the city with every passing day which have created an endless source of inspiration for her. The exhibition is the fruit of her great efforts and hard work.  With 40 photographs on the landscape and 40 others on social activities and city dwellers, the exhibition depicts the mosaic picture and the daily life of people in the city, such as a cyclo driver, a child reading a book on the pavement, life at night and volunteer students helping clean the environment in the suburbs.

Through her photos, viewers can see the development of the city after 40 years of liberation and it has now becomes a dynamic economic and educational centre and a modern urban city in Southeast Asia.
