Malaysian Prime Minister talks East Sea dispute settlement

Kuala Lumpur, November 16 (VNA) – Malaysia believes that all sides with sovereignty claims in the East Sea must solve disputes in line with international law, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said in an interview with Japan’s Asian Nikkei Review on November 15.

Najib stressed the need to respect diplomatic and legal processes, resolving disputes peacefully via negotiations.

Speaking during his visit to Japan the same day, PM Najib Razak stated that all sides, including Japan, need to play a constructive role to ensure peace, security, and stability in the East Sea.

According to the Malaysian PM, disputes in the East Sea are complicated and need to be resolved reasonably via dialogue.
