ASEAN-China roadshow kicks off journey in Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) – The China-ASEAN International Touring Assembly and Media Rally 2016 (CAITA) began its journey across Vietnam in Hanoi on November 24, marking 25 years of the ASEAN – China dialogue relations.

The roadshow will travel through Ninh Binh in the north, Nghe An in the central region and An Giang, Can Tho in the Mekong Delta region, among other destinations.

Participants and cars in the rally are from China and the 10 ASEAN member states. Departing from China, these cars are scheduled to run along some 10,000 km through eight ASEAN countries within 20 days.

The rally will also arrange a series of promotion campaigns on the lands and peoples of participating countries to stimulate trade and tourism cooperation between ASEAN and China.

The first CAITA event was held in 2010.
